THE SDOC NEWS May 2023 (Spanish)
On Saturday, May 27th, the School District of Oconee County will honor a total of 638 graduates at commencement ceremonies at each high school. The district is proud to announce the Class of 2023 valedictorians and salutatorians.
The School District of Oconee County will begin summer meals on Monday, June 5th. Meals will be available Monday through Friday through July 21st. No meals will be available July 3rd - 7th due to the July 4th holiday. Children do not have to be enrolled with the School District of Oconee County to receive meals.
South Carolina is seeking input from stakeholders regarding the DRAFT 2023 College and Career Ready Math Standards. The public review period will end on Monday, June 12, 2023.
All stakeholders are invited to review the draft standards and provide feedback using the online forms below by Monday, June 12, 2023.
SDOC is continually reviewing safety and security measures. To enhance safety inside athletic venues, the district will implement a Clear Bag Protocol as part of the screening process to enter all athletic events for the 2022-2023 school year. A clear bag is easily searched, reduces faulty bag searches, and supports the Department of Homeland Security's "If You See Something, Say Something" campaign.
